A nation-wide drug collection program is being organized by DEA on September 25, 2010. You can search by zip or city for locations that are participating at: http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/takeback/
At this time there are 11 locations in the metro-Toledo area that are participating, including City of Maumee’s Police Department from 10 AM to 2 PM. The program accepts prescription drugs (pills, ointments, liquids, etc.).
Medications should not be emptied into a toilet or simply thrown out. This program is a great, responsible way to get rid of these items.
Please pass this information on to others to help get the word out. This is such a good program!
