Trustee Barbara Lang
Monclova Township Trustee
2003-2007, 2009-present

Barbara Lang is a long time resident of Monclova Township moving into the Brandywine neighborhood in 1994. She also has had the pleasure of living in a more rural neighborhood of Monclova on Albon Road and recently returned to subdivision living and resides again at Brandywine.

Barbara grew up in nearby Swanton and went to high school at Notre Dame Academy. She graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Science degree in communications. She has worked at the Mercy Health Foundation for most of her tenure in development and has learned valuable team building, communication, and project development skills. As a graduate of The Ohio State Leadership Academy, a Board member of the Monclova-Maumee-Toledo Joint Economic Development Zone, and through working with the Lucas County Township Association her focus is to work effectively and efficiently using the strength of township government.  A key strength of local government is the ability of the elected official to be available, so please feel free to reach out with questions or comments.

Barbara has worked hard to represent the residents of Monclova. She is NIMS certified and over her tenure she has championed projects that grew township parkland, improved road safety, and strengthened fire and safety services. Tchuck hoecherl 2013rustee Chuck Hoecherl
Monclova Township Trustee
2007 to present

Trustee Chuck Hoecherl was first elected in 2007 and re-elected thereafter. Chuck grew up in Maumee and attended St. Joseph’s Elementary and St. John’s Jesuit High School. Chuck worked part-time to put himself through college and completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Toledo.

Chuck started his banking career with Toledo Trust and continued his education at UT while working; receiving his MBA in 1993.   After 9 years with Toledo Trust, Chuck worked at Capital Bank in Sylvania.  While at Capital, Chuck was involved with the Sylvania Community Improvement Corporation, and was selected for the Board of Trustees at Rescue Mental Health Services on Collingwood Blvd.  These board seats provided Chuck with much experience dealing with union contracts, multi-million dollar budgets and public infrastructure projects.  Chuck has also served on the finance councils at St. Joseph’s and St. Patrick of Heatherdowns, 2E Housing Corp, a non-profit student housing provider at the University of Toledo.

Chuck currently works at Premier Bank in Maumee and is Senior Vice President of Treasury Management services and heads up the eastern market for the bank.   It was his common sense approach of working with many different types of customers during his banking career that provided Chuck the impetus to run for public office and serve his community.  In addition to his duties as trustee, Chuck serves on the Monclova-Maumee-Toledo Joint Economic Development Zone Board; Secretary on the Toledo Express Airport Joint Economic Development District; is a board member for the Maumee Chamber of Commerce; and is serving his sixth term as President of the Lucas County Township Association-elected by his fellow township Elected Officials.

Chuck and his wife of nearly 30 years, Monique, are the parents of twins, Christian and Rachel.  Chuck and his family like to travel and make an annual trip to the ocean. He enjoys family activities, waterfowl hunting, fishing, golf, and NASCAR.   In his free time, he also likes to read and is a Civil War history buff.

Trustee Trudy Yoder Vicary
Monclova Township Trustee
2022 to present

As Trudy Yoder Vicary says, “I’ve been blessed to live what some would call the American story. My parents came from nothing and started their own machinery business in 1957. It was there that the 5 Yoder kids learned the value of hard work.” She graduated from Springfield High School and soon after went to work for the family business in Holland. Yoder Machinery is now a third-generation company.

Trudy, along with husband of 34-years, Ken, has resided in the Monclova area for the past 15 years. They have 2 grown daughters, Kendra, who lives in Waco TX; and Karli, who lives in Columbus. The Vicarys have called Ramm Road home for the past 7 years and truly enjoy the rural living.

Trudy is a business woman in every sense of the word. Her experiences in business run wide and deep. For 40 years at Yoder Machinery, she is well versed in employee management, budgets, deadlines, insurance issues, accounting, payroll ~ just to name a few.

Besides her “day job,” she holds real estate and auctioneer licenses. Trudy and her husband also own and manage rental properties around Northwest Ohio. With her business background, she is well-qualified to serve the Monclova Community.

Currently, Trudy is the trustee liaison to the Monclova Historical Foundation which is part of the Monclova Community Center. It is a wonderful fit, considering her longtime hobby and interest in antiques and history.

“I grew up watching a skilled trustee, my mom, Marylin Yoder, when she served Springfield Township for 40 years,” Trudy says. “I’m proud to serve Monclova Township in the same elected capacity.”

Trustee Vicary is committed to conservative principles: limited government, lower taxes, and personal responsibility.
